Our 2nd day has gone great as well! Everyone is healthy, feeling great (maybe a little tired) and excited about the time we still have to spend with the people we have met. We continue to have fun with the students, building friendships with them and the Slovak helpers. The students have been very open and we are loving getting to know their individual personalities. It is wonderful to be able to build such strong relationships even though there is a great language barrier! The Yellow Class...
This afternoon, there was a demonstration of how Christ bridges the gap in our lives. The students all had to stand on one table (that represented a cliff). Petra taught how we are stuck on this one cliff without Jesus because we are sinners separated from God.
We can try anything we want by ourselves but there is no possible way to get to the other cliff (table) without help. The kids tried to jump to the other side but all of them came up short. In life we try to do good deeds, follow the law, etc. but nothing is ever good enough to bridge the gap between God and sinners.
She put the cross in between the two tables to show that Christ is the only way to get to God. He died on the cross to take away the sins of the world so that we can be reconciled to God. Only through Jesus are we able to get to God.
WOW! What a day! How exciting!! We will be praying for these students and for you all as you continue to share the "Good News"...

What a wonderful illustration of how Jesus bridges the gap to God for us! The children and youth are blessed to have you sharing about Jesus, and sharing yourselves with them. We continue to pray for the team daily.
